MOUNTAIN JUSTICE

SYNOPSIS: Angus McDonald and Jeffry Kirke are partners in a moonshine business. Angus is slow and cautious, while Jeffry is hot-heated and is horribly cruel to his wife Mary. Nora Davison is in love with Angus, but he shows no interest in her; instead, he is in love with his partner's wife. One day Kirke strikes his wife and knocks her unconscious, and Nora has to prevent Angus from killing the man. Mary decides to leave her husband. Kirke is tipped off that revenue offers are going to raid his still. He prepares an ambush in which one of the officers is killed. Angus professes his love to Mary, but she tells him that she still only loves her husband. Angus captures Kirke and turns him over the revenuers, thinking this to be a convenient way to rid himself of his rival. The mountaineers learn of Angus' betrayal of his partner and plan to hang him. Nora arrives and plead's for his life. She is assisted by her father who holds the men at gunpoint until they disperse. Angus finally realizes his true love for Nora.
